Note from the Founder
It is my belief that life is long and that what truly matters is how we manage the process of life, which means learning to manage ourselves as much as anything else.
It is up to us to become more able to navigate a path through the ups and downs of life, and to find meaning along the way. That means learning to find meaning – even enjoyment – in the tough times, as well as loving the good ones. And at the core of that is the work we do on ourselves, to better deal with both.
Most importantly, it's about realising that meaning isn't just given to us. We get to define it for ourselves. It comes from within, and it evolves within us too, depending on our awareness, autonomy, and sense of control: our agency.
The more we grow in these areas, the more we're able to shape a life that feels genuinely ours, one we care about and one we enjoy.
That is what my work here is for. To support you in growing yourself - building stability, finding meaning, discovering what you enjoy and brings you joy, and getting more of these into your life. It's also about helping you emerge from the tough times with your head held high and your heart intact, still able to enjoy the process of life and living.
All of this is as much about evolving your perspective and deepening your inner character as it is about acquiring tools or skills. To me, this is the most important work there is, because everything else valuable flows from it. I can't helping thinking of Viktor Frankl's words here:
"In accepting this challenge to suffer bravely, life has a meaning up to the last minute".
I couldn't agree more.
I have been walking this path for more than 30 years - gradually shaping a life I accept, value and direct, guided by hope, patience, and kindness. That's my Ikigai and it guides my personal life and my work here.
For now, take care of yourself out there. I hope our paths cross, whether through a chat, a workshop, or one of my courses.
